　　David: Fred, we're gonna have a meeting after half an hour. Have you got it?

　　大卫：佛瑞德,半小时后我们将有个会。你知道吗?

　　Fred: Is that true? I can't believe it. There are always some meetings in this company.

　　佛瑞德：是真的吗?我真不明白，公司里会议可太多了。

　　David: Hush! The wall has ears, you know.

　　大卫：嘘!小声儿点!隔墙有耳。

　　Fred: But, my overwork has not done yet. And it is driving me crazy.

　　佛瑞德：但是，我的加班工作还没完成呢。这个任务真让我抓狂了。

　　David: My boy. I give you my sympathy to you. However, this meeting is said to be extremely important, so we have to attend it.

　　大卫：伙计!我对你表示同情。但是这个会议据说十分重要，所以我们还是必须要去参加的。

　　Fred: What's the meeting for?

　　佛瑞德：开这个会是干什么的?

　　David: It is to give honors and promotions to some colleagues who made outstanding performance last year.

　　大卫：会议主要是给去年那些表现突出的同事发放奖品和升职。

　　Fred: I will be there after 20 minutes.

　　佛瑞德：好的'，我20分钟后就去。

　　Fred: Hi! Swift, we are so excited to hear about that you are promoted. So, congratulations!

　　佛瑞德：嗨!斯威夫特，听到你升职的消息，我们都很兴奋啊。所以呢，恭喜你了!

　　Swift:Thank you!

　　斯威夫特：谢谢!

　　David: What are you in charge of now?

　　大卫：你现在负责什么工作呢?

　　Swift:I am in charge of the market development of our whole department.

　　斯威夫特：我现在负责整个部门的市场开发工作。

　　Fred: I envy you.

　　佛瑞德：我真羡慕你。

　　Swift:You know, I will be much busier and facing more challenges.

　　斯威夫特：你要明白，我将会比以前更忙，比以前面临更大的挑战。

　　David: I think you are a lucky dog. So can you give us some ideas of being promoted?

　　大卫：我想你是个幸运儿。那你能告诉我们一些升迁的诀窍吗?

　　Swift:Don't worry about whether you are lucky or not. Just do your own job and work hard. Our boss will see your good performance one day.

　　斯威夫特：别在意你幸运与否。就是做好你的工作并不断努力。总有一天老板会看到你良好的业绩的。

　　Fred: We can handle this and make it as our motto.

　　佛瑞德：我们肯定能努力工作而且会将此句话当做我们的座右铭。

　　Swift:Shall we have dinner together? Be my guest.

　　斯威夫特：我们一起去吃晚餐吧?我请客。

　　Fred: Amazing. Can you read our mind? We'd love to…

　　佛瑞德：太好了。你简直能读懂我们的心思。我很愿意去。
